Keyboard Slamming

Some food for thought…

Today while at work I noticed I was slamming keys on my keyboard only when compiling code to then run and test.

Generally speaking I am usually a very fast, smooth, and soft typer. Which has prompted the following question:

How does our mood or attitude reflect our typing habits, or really any interaction we have with computers which act as an extension of ourselves in some form of communication?

Really we should all know by now that smacking keys or those broken DEBIT terminals in grocery stores (because people smash them hard because they think it will work “better”) isn’t the way to make things better. Sure there was a time when technology was less responsive, but for the most part, that time has long since passed, and people need to stop beating up their tech just because they either a) think it will work “better” or b) are irritated by the technology with which they’re interfacing.

So to end my point and answer any lingering doubts, yes, I dislike compiling C# code for Silverlight in a buggy IDE which can’t preview my code properly.
