A commitment to… well not QUITE excellence, but close enough

Well after this weekend, I’m now the proud owner of a Specialized Allez road bike. Now begins the tough part. With a doctor’s appointment scheduled this week, hopefully I’ll have a good prognosis on my ankle/knee and begin training again.

By the end of the summer I need to be up to 8 mile runs, 15mil bikes, and at least 500m swim, as well as become a solid “B’s” racquetball player. If all goes well, I might still compete in a sprint or super spring triathlon this summer.

Either way, my primary goals are to improve my racquetball game, as well as make sure I’m on my way to being in shape for the Hartford Marathon in October (I’m doing the half, aka 13.1 miles).

It’s a long road, but it will be worth it.

(Also wouldn’t mind being a scratch golfer again by the end of summer)
